Dr Hazel Weir is Looking Forward to Attending SLAS 2020
Dr Hazel Weir is attending SLAS 2020. As new members of the Society, Peak Proteins is looking forward to making new connections with biotechnology companies located in the West Coast.
SLAS 2020 is being held at the San Diego Convention Centre in California between the 25th and 29th of January 2020.
“We have had really good interactions with start-up biotechnology companies and research-focussed not-for-profit organisations at recent ELRIG meetings in the UK, and view the SLAS convention as the US equivalent to ELRIG, – except this time there are over 5000 attendees! It’s a great opportunity to be able to promote Peak Proteins services to a new audience and get a better understanding of the scientific challenges facing US based biotechnology companies “, commented Hazel.
The Conference “Level Up Your Science” has an impressive scientific programme with ten educational tracks (including Advances in Bioanalytics and Biomarkers, Assay Development and Screening, Automation and High-Throughput Technologies, Biologics Discovery, Cellular Technologies, Data Analysis and Informatics, Drug Target Strategies, Micro- and Nanotechnologies, Molecular Libraries and Precision Medicine Technologies) with 144 podium presentations, 22 short courses and posters. Peak Proteins are hoping to be one of the selected posters for this event.
The two keynote speakers are Dr Jackie Hunter, Board Director at BenevolentAI and Dr Leroy Cronin, Regius Chair of Chemistry at the University of Glasgow. The exhibition will be equally as impressive with over 250 exhibitors.
