Job vacancy for a Cell Culture Scientist

Image mammalian cell culture

We are looking for a cell scientist to be part of our small, but rapidly growing team involved in the generation of recombinant proteins for use in the pharmaceutical industry.

You must have cell culture experience and ideally you will have worked with a number of protein expression systems and be able to use them at different scales and complexity to adapt to rapidly changing demands. You must have a degree in a life science and good knowledge of cell culture.  Essential to almost all the work we undertake is the ability to express proteins in a number of different cell hosts. The expression systems we use are a transient mammalian system, baculovirus/insect cells and E.coli. This position will primarily involve expression of proteins in the two eukaryotic hosts.

You must have enthusiasm for lab work, demonstrating care and attention to detail when planning and performing experiments and be able to critically analyse your data to come up with creative solutions to problems when they arise. The ability to work independently, but also flexibility as part of the team to ensure we meet customer needs, is highly valued and essential for this position. Salary is negotiable and dependent on knowledge and experience of the candidate.
