Jo Hartley BSc

After graduating with a degree in Biology from the University of York, Joanne joined Astrazeneca, spending over ten years as a proteomics scientist followed by five years in a computational biology team. Upon leaving AZ she enjoyed a spell as a lab technician in a secondary school, making the most of the family friendly aspects of a term-time only job. However, keen to again be part of the world of life science research, she spent 3 years with Medicines Discovery Catapult in the clinical biosamples team before joining Peak Proteins as Operations Manager.

Away from work Joanne enjoys walks in the Peak District and Lake District, tending her vegetable patch, and rediscovered her childhood hobby of dancing after a 25 year break. She attends adult ballet and tap classes at the same dance school as her daughter.
