Dr Martin Jennings | Peak Proteins

More about Martin

Martin Jennings joins Peak Proteins from the University of Manchester with 18 years of academic research experience, including a PhD at UMIST followed by 15 years of Postdoctoral experience. His PhD was focused on protein structure/function and biochemistry before he moved on to study the fundamentals of how proteins are made by cells and how this is regulated during stress as a postdoc.

Martin did the “self-reflection thing” during COVID lockdown and decided he was ready for a change and contacted Peak Proteins. Martin decided a Business Development role would a great way to use his extensive research knowledge while learning a whole different set of skills.

Outside of work Martin loves spending time with his “3 ladies” - his wife Laura (almost 15 years now!) and two daughters. After getting into running almost 10 years ago, Martin has now made the transition to “full Forest Gump”. He has been described as a mountain goat for his love of hills and can be usually found early Sunday morning up his favourite ‘Peak’ – Shutlingsloe.
