More about Claire

Claire has come from working in a Molecular Biology lab as a Research Technician. The role combined research on the cellular organisation of mRNAs and translation factors into P-bodies and stress granules in Saccharomyces cerevisiae as well as lab administration.

Prior to this, Claire worked as a Teacher of Science specialising in Biology at various schools in Greater Manchester. She did this for five years before ultimately deciding on a career change as she missed working in the lab.

She graduated from the University of Salford in 2012 and spent the second year of her degree at the University of Toledo in Ohio. The experience was challenging but very worthwhile and allowed her to travel whilst studying.

She is looking forward to joining the team at Peak Proteins as she has always enjoyed new challenges and is excited to expand her knowledge of new techniques and practices at a growing company whilst using her organisational and practical skill set.

Outside of work Claire enjoys seeing bands and going to festivals, cross stitching and embroidery as well as walking her miniature labradoodle Rigby to nice beer gardens!
