More about Emma
Following graduating from the University of Manchester with a degree in Biology, incorporating a year working at Eli Lilly, Emma Cains spent a short time working for the Christie Hospital before settling at AstraZeneca. After 15 years working on antibody generation and validation, and recombinant protein production and purification (with a brief interlude in Oncology) she left AstraZeneca.
She then spent over 3 years at Allergan Biologics, working on Cell Line Development, creating optimised cell lines for production of biologic therapeutics, and enjoyed transferring many of the more time-consuming activities into an automation system. Despite leaving the robot behind, Emma is now delighted to have re-joined many previous colleagues to work at Peak Proteins.
