More about Rahaf

Prior to joining Peak Proteins, Rahaf finished her BSc in Pharmacy at the University of Jordan and MSc in Drug Discovery and Pharmaceutical Sciences at The University of Nottingham. She really enjoyed working in labs in her undergraduate degree and participated in a research project focusing on the role of community pharmacists in the misuse of antibiotics. This led to a research paper titled "Knowledge, Attitudes and Practice regarding antibiotic use and resistance among community pharmacists: a cross sectional study in Jordan" published in 2019.

Rahaf studied Drug Discovery because she wanted to contribute to the research that helps discover drugs that are more effective and safer the ones currently available. In her Masters degree, Rahaf’s research project focused on the biochemical characterisation of RNA binding proteins and their potential use as drug targets. Here she gained experience in protein purification and analysis techniques, as well as fluorescence-based assays and is now excited to learn so much more at Peak Proteins.

Outside of work, Rahaf enjoys going to the gym/yoga, watching TV series and movies (her favourite genre is crime/psychological).
