More about Toby
Toby Allen graduated from the University of Sheffield with a Master’s in Chemistry. His Master’s research project was based on the expression and purification of a fluorescently labelled self-assembling fibre ‘coiled-coil’ protein, in order to investigate the mechanical disassembly of the protein by the AAA+ ATPase enzyme vps4.
Toby joined Lonza in Slough after leaving university where he worked as a Research and Development downstream purification scientist. Toby carried out a variety of projects researching new technologies and techniques aiming to improve Lonza’s DSP platform process for producing monoclonal antibodies.
Outside of work Toby enjoys music, playing and watching football, climbing and cooking.
