Camila Torres MSc

While doing a degree in Chemistry at the University of York, Camila found that she really enjoyed the practical work and the biochemistry and bioinorganic parts of her course. For her Masters project she worked at the York Structural Biology Laboratories, working in protein structure determination and performing inhibitor binding assays. This further cemented her love for laboratory work and introduced her to a world of protein science.

After completing her course, Camila wanted to stay in protein science and Peak Proteins seemed like the perfect place to do this. She hopes to further her protein knowledge and forget as many organic reaction mechanisms as possible!

When not in the lab, Camila enjoys doing yoga, gaming with her friends and reading.
